Jammu, Apr 11: The government has directed JKBOSE to ensure implementation of State School Standards Authority (SSSA) by May 2026.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, in a review meeting was informed that the National Education Policy 2020 has introduced several benchmarks to ensure quality in education across India.
One such key initiative is the establishment of the State School Standards Authority (SSSA) as an independent body. The objective of the SSSA is to enable States and Union Territories to evaluate and ensure adherence to basic quality standards across all schools, irrespective of whether they are public or private. “Prior to NEP 2020, school recognition and regulation were often handled in an uneven manner, resulting in variations in compliance and quality.
