Jammu, Apr 09: Jammu Development Authority team lead by Garbi Rashid, DLM, Rashi Dutta, Tehsildar today carried out a major anti-encroachment and demolition drive on its land at two locations, namely Rathore Dhok (Dhok Waziran), Nagrota and Sidhra, near security headquarters with the active support of the District Administration.
During the drive at Rathore Dhok (Dhok Waziran), Nagrota, one unauthorized structure along with plinths was demolished, leading to the retrieval of approximately 3 kanal of JDA land.
At Sidhra, five unauthorized permanent structures were demolished. The operation resulted in the retrieval of around 5 kanal of encroached JDA land. In total, about 8 kanal of JDA land was reclaimed during the drive.
The anti-encroachment operation was conducted under the directions of Vice Chairman, JDA, Rupesh Kumar, and was executed smoothly with full cooperation from the District Administration and JDA enforcement teams.
JDA reiterates its commitment to safeguarding its land and will continue such drives to remove encroachments and ensure proper utilization of public assets.
