JAMMU, APRIL 04: Director FCS&CA Jammu Rajesh Kumar Shavan today chaired the maiden review meeting in his office chamber to assess the stock and supply position of LPG and Petroleum products in the region.
The representatives from Oil Marketing Companies, LPG distributors and Assistant Directors from Jammu District attended the meeting.
He emphasized the need for strengthening monitoring and coordination to ensure uninterrupted supply and transparent distribution of LPG, Petrol and Diesel to consumers.
The Oil Marketing Companies were directed to submit the daily stock position of LPG to the FCS&CA Department for regular monitoring by the respective Assistant Directors of Jammu Division.
The Director further stressed on achieving 100 percent completion of e-KYC of all LPG consumers at the earliest. The LPG distributors were instructed to expedite the process and ensure 100 percent doorstep delivery of LPG cylinders so that consumers do not face any inconvenience.
The Director issued strict instructions to curb black marketing, hoarding and overcharging of LPG cylinders, directing field functionaries to maintain close check and initiate strict action against anyone found violating the prescribed norms.
The Distributors were instructed to maintain transparency by displaying approved LPG rates, delivery charges and consumer helpline numbers prominently at distribution points.
Emphasis was also laid on timely supply, prompt grievances redressal and regular field inspections to ensure adherence to established guidelines.
Assistant Director(s), Tehsil Supply Officers, Oil Marketing Companies and LPG Distributors were advised to undertake awareness measures regarding completion of e-KYC and safe usage of LPG among consumers.
The OMCs informed the meeting that there is sufficient stock of LPG cylinders, Petrol/Diesel available across the Jammu Division and the general public has been advised not to panic or resort to unnecessary bookings, as adequate arrangements are in place to ensure uninterrupted supply.
