Srinagar, Mar 29: The J&K National Health Mission Employees Association today announced a 48-hour sit-in protest and strike across the Union Territory beginning April 1, to press for long-pending demands related to pay revision, job security, and social welfare measures.
According to the Association, employees from all districts will participate in the protest, with workers from the Kashmir division assembling at Sher-i-Kashmir Park in Srinagar, which will serve as the main venue.
The decision to go on strike was taken after repeated assurances from authorities allegedly failed to translate into concrete action, leaving key issues unresolved.
