Mahoba, March 22: A Vigilance team arrested a Health Department’s Family Planning Logistic Manager as had demanded a bribe of ₹3.5 lakh from a contractual employee for his transfer.
Yesterday he had called the employee to a hotel to take the first instalment of Rs 2 lakh, where he was caught red-handed. He broke down in tears and kept shaking his hands and legs in an attempt to free himself.
The man apologised to the vigilance officers and pleaded, “Sir, I fold my hands, please let me go.” The accused kept crying and pleading in front of the vigilance team but was taken away by ACB team for further legal actions.
After arrest, accused Jitesh was brought to the city police station & a case has been registered against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
