JAMMU, MARCH 14: Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), J&K Akriti Sagar conducted a surprise inspection today at NTPHC Channi to evaluate healthcare service delivery and facility operations.
Medical Officer Dr. Yasmin was present on duty, along with Staff Nurses Parveen and Anita Sharma. Mid-Level Health Provider (MLHP) Dr. Vedika Rohtra was absent.
The inspection revealed critical lapses, including open biomedical waste disposal, incomplete essential registers and poor sanitation. Akriti Sagar expressed strong concern over these hygiene and record-keeping failures.
She issued immediate directives to address the issues of proper biomedical waste management, full maintenance of mandatory registers and enhanced sanitation.
The Chief Medical Officer Jammu was directed to seek explanation from Dr. Vedika Rohtra for her absence and submit a report to the Mission Directorate.
Mission Director stressed that ongoing surprise inspections will enforce accountability, uphold standards and ensure quality public healthcare.
