New Delhi, March 11: Supreme Court has allowed passive euthanasia for HarishRana, a Ghaziabad resident who has been in an unconscious state for nearly 13 years after suffering severe head injuries in a fall from his hostel in 2013.
The Court directed that he be admitted to AIIMS for palliative care, where medical treatment can be withdrawn with dignity.
The plea for mercy killing was filed by his parents after Doctors said there was no hope of recovery.( AIR )
