DC Poonch directs Telecom companies to take necessary measures for improving network coverage, addressing public grievances

POONCH, MARCH 06: A meeting of the District Telecom Committee was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma to review the status and functioning of telecom services across the district.

The Deputy Commissioner conducted a comprehensive review of telecom connectivity, network coverage in rural and border areas and issues related to mobile tower installation and other telecom infrastructure.

Representatives from the telecom service provider companies informed the chair about the current status of telecom services in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized strengthening of telecom connectivity to ensure seamless communication, particularly in remote and border areas of the district.

He directed the telecom companies to take necessary measures for improving network coverage, addressing public grievances and expediting the installation and maintenance of telecom infrastructure wherever required.

The meeting also discussed better coordination among departments to facilitate timely clearances and smooth implementation of telecom-related projects in the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tahir Mustafa Malik, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mohan Lal, District Informatics Officer, Parvinder Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, Executive Engineer JPDCL, Aftab Ahmed, Divisional Forest Officer, Divisional Officer JKPCC Poonch along with representatives from other concerned departments and telecom service providers attended the meeting.
