Jammu, 22.02.2026: In the early hours today on 22.02.2026 a special naka checking drive was conducted at Khairi, Bishnah, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah under the supervision of the Station House Officer (SHO) Bishnah,inspector Rakesh Singh Jamwal along with his team of police officers/officials.
The naka was established at strategic points in Khairi to ensure strict enforcement of the Motor Vehicles Act and to enhance road safety in the area. During the course of checking, 04 vehicles including one load carrier,one Swift & two motorcycles were found to be operating in contravention of the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Accordingly, the said vehicles were seized as per law, and traffic challans were issued to the violators for the relevant offences under the Motor Vehicles Act. The action was taken to ensure compliance with traffic regulations and to prevent accidents arising out of traffic violations. Police Station Bishnah remains committed to maintaining road discipline and public safety. Such enforcement drives shall continue in the future to curb violations and promote responsible driving. Jammu police requests general public to strictly adhere to traffic rules and ensure proper documentation while operating vehicles.
