Police Station Kishtwar secures Overall First Rank amongst Police Stations of DKR Range for best performance during 2025



 Batote, February 2025: Range Police Headquarters, Batote has announced Police Station wise Performance Awards for the year 2025 following a rigorous, transparent, and merit-based evaluation on key performance indicators, including crime disposal, quality of investigation, recovery of stolen property, tracing of missing persons, conviction rate, action against absconders, NDPS enforcement, and overall public service delivery.

Police Station Kishtwar secured the Overall First Rank among all police stations of the DKR Range, demonstrating exceptional efficiency, professionalism, and commitment despite operating in a remote and geographically challenging area. The achievement reflects effective leadership and sustained efforts in maintaining law and order and ensuring timely justice. The police station under Inspr. Firdous Ahmed (SHO P/S Kishtwar) secured first position in disposal of inquest proceedings, tracing of missing persons, registration of NDPS cases, value-wise recovery of stolen property, and conviction rate under Category-III, along with third position in crime disposal under Category-III.

Police Station Ramban secured the Overall Second Rank, reflecting strong operational performance across multiple policing parameters. The police station under Inspr. Vikram Parihar (SHO P/S Ramban) secured first position in crime disposal under Category-III, apprehension of absconders, and registration of cattle smuggling cases; second position in value-wise recovery of stolen property; and third position in disposal of inquest proceedings (percentage-wise), tracing of missing persons, and conviction rate under Category-III. Whereas Police Station Doda secured the Overall Third Rank, reflecting commendable performance and effective policing initiatives throughout the year. The police station with proactive leadership of Inspr. Parvaiz Ahmed (SHO P/S Doda) secured first position in value-wise recovery of stolen property and second position in crime disposal under Category-III, tracing of missing persons, registration of NDPS cases, conviction rate under Category-III, and disposal of inquest proceedings. On the occasion, DIGP DKR Range, Sh. Shridhar Patil, IPS, congratulated the award-winning officers and their teams for their dedication and professionalism, stating that the awards recognise merit, efficiency, and effective leadership at the police station level. He emphasized that performance-based recognition promotes accountability, motivation, and healthy competition among field units, and urged all police stations in the range to strive for excellence, strengthen public trust, and maintain a zero-tolerance approach to crime.

The DIGP further stated that the objective of such evaluations is to enhance service delivery, ensure timely justice, and improve public confidence in the police.

He expressed hope that the personnel of the DKR Range will continue to uphold the highest standards of integrity, efficiency, and dedication in safeguarding the lives and property of citizens.
