Kishtwar, 14-02-2026: The Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), today distributed passports, vaccination cards, and Hajj guide booklets to the Hajj pilgrims from District Kishtwar who are embarking on the sacred pilgrimage of Hajj 2026, scheduled to take place on April 22.
The distribution ceremony took place in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, where a total of 54 pilgrims from District Kishtwar received their travel documents and essential guidance materials for the upcoming pilgrimage.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the pilgrims embarking on the sacred journey of Manasik-e-Hajj. He emphasized the profound spiritual significance of Hajj in Islam, describing it as a journey of faith, devotion, sacrifice, unity, and submission to the Almighty.
He urged the pilgrims to uphold the values of patience, discipline, and brotherhood during their pilgrimage, and to pray for the peace, harmony, and prosperity of the nation and the district.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated process for all pilgrims, making sure that all necessary documentation and health-related formalities are completed well in advance.
The pilgrims expressed their gratitude to the District Administration for the timely facilitation and support provided to help them undertake this sacred religious obligation.
CPO Kishtwar Akhil Thakur, Incharge Hajj Section DC Office Kishtwar Ayaz Ahmed, and other concerned officials were present during the occasion.
