Doda, Feb 08: In a major crackdown on traffic violations, the Transport Department has suspended 113 driving licences and 06 vehicle registration certificates in Doda district for violations of traffic rules and provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
The action was taken under the guidance of worthy Transport Commissioner Shri Vishesh Paul Mahajan KAS, and the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Shri Harvinder Singh IAS.
The enforcement drive was carried out by Assistant Regional Transport Officer Doda, Shri Kapil Deol, JKAS, with the objective of strengthening road safety, promoting discipline among road users, and ensuring strict compliance with traffic laws.
Officials stated that such enforcement drives will continue in the future to curb reckless driving and reduce road accidents.
The general public has been urged to strictly adhere to traffic rules in the interest of their own safety as well as that of others.
