Kishtwar, 07-02-2026: The District Level Implementation Committee met today in Kishtwar under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS)(Chairman DLIC), to review and approve applications submitted under the Mission YUVA scheme.
A total of 62 applications, duly verified by the Small Business Development Units (SBDUs), comprising 02 cases under MSME Enterprises, 02 cases under Business Acceleration of Existing Enterprises, and 58 cases under Nano Enterprises, were presented to the committee.
Each application was assessed based on eligibility, project feasibility, and the socio-economic background of the applicant. After detailed scrutiny, the committee approved 42 out of 62 applications.
19 applications were approved subject to bank verification and submission of feasibility reports from the concerned bank branches, while 01 application was rejected for financial assistance and handholding support.
The DC, Kishtwar, emphasized the importance of empowering youth to drive local economic growth. He directed the AD Employment, Kishtwar, Smt. Mamta Sudershan (JKAS) to ensure that all approved cases are forwarded to banks at the earliest so that applicants can receive timely benefits under the scheme.
He also directed banks to sanction and disburse loans without delay and to provide regular mentorship to support the new entrepreneurs.
It is pertinent to mention that a total of 345 cases have been sanctioned by J&K Bank to date, out of which 305 cases have been disbursed by the Bank in the district, involving ₹19 crore in sanctions and ₹16.5 crore in disbursements.
Mission YUVA continues to play a vital role in creating livelihood opportunities and promoting self-reliance among the youth of Kishtwar district.
