KISHTWAR, 06-02-2026: In a considerate gesture to ease the hardship of grieving families, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma JKAS , today disbursed a total of Rs.06 lakh as compensation under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund, based on the cases submitted by ARTO Kishtwar, Sh. Tasleem Wani (JKAS).
An amount of Rs. 1 lakh each was disbursed to the legal heirs of four deceased victims of road accidents & Rs 50,000 each to four grievously injured patients. This government initiative aims to extend support to those affected by such tragic incidents and underscores its ongoing commitment to assist bereaved families.
The families who received compensation included Gulzar Banoo w/o Mudassir Hussain R/o Dugga Saroor,Bhagat Ram S/o Sher Chand R/o Tayari Paddar, Permila Kumari Sharma w/o Trilochan Dutt R/o Panditgam Kishtwar,Mohd Akbar S/o Ghulam Qadir Karthie Paddar , Altaf Hussain S/o Mohd Shafi R/o Padyarna Patharnaki , Sajid Hussain S/o Riaz Ahmed R/o Dool Kishtwar ,Abrar Hussain S/o Zakir Hussain R/o Patimahal Palmar , Iflal Ahmed Wani S/o Sanaullah Wani R/o Sounder Dachan.
