Jammu, Feb 06: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that the government will soon unveil a structured plan to regularize daily-rated and casual workers employed across various departments.
Addressing the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister said a high-level committee was constituted last year to examine the issue in detail, including its legal and financial aspects. He assured the House that the government is committed to finding a fair and humane solution, and said a phased roadmap for regularisation would be announced after the committee submits its recommendations.
The move is expected to benefit thousands of workers who have been serving on a temporary basis for several years.
