New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday submitted its report to the home ministry on the bus, which came under attack on Monday evening, explaining that the bus had gone astray from the security convoy after having a puncture, News 18 reports said.
The bus was tracked down by terrorists after it stopped to get the tyre repaired. When the bus passed through the spot where terrorists had already taken their position, they opened fire on the bus. The assault lasted forty seconds, reports added.
"Our bus had a tyre puncture and had to wait to get it repaired," Gafoor said, adding that the bus had the necessary registration.
