JAMMU, January 31: Health and Medical Education Minister, Sakeena Itoo, today visited the Government Medical College, Jammu, to review healthcare services and assess the functioning of ongoing medical and patient-care facilities.
During the visit, the Minister inspected various departments of the hospital and took stock of the availability of medical infrastructure, essential services, and patient-care arrangements.
She interacted with hospital authorities, doctors, and staff to understand the challenges on the ground and evaluate the quality of healthcare being provided to patients.
Sakeena emphasized the need for efficient service delivery, improved patient care, and strengthening of medical facilities.
She stressed that the government remains committed to upgrading healthcare infrastructure and ensuring timely and quality treatment for all patients.
The Minister directed the concerned officials to address shortcomings, if any, and ensure that public healthcare institutions continue to function in a patient-friendly and effective manner.
