SRINAGAR, Jan 30: National Conference spokesperson Tanveer Sadiq today said that the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir budget would be “pro-people” and would focus on delivering promises made in the party’s election manifesto.
Speaking to reporters, Sadiq said the Chief Minister had already assured that the budget would prioritise public welfare. He said the Government hoped to begin implementing key commitments outlined in the manifesto and take important decisions aimed at improving people’s lives.
He said that whenever a budget is presented, it is for the people & last time too, the budget was pro-people. We hope that some of the promises made in the manifesto will be implemented this time.
He said the NC Government had a five-year mandate and was committed to fulfilling its promises during this period.
Sadiq said that the Chief Minister was holding consultations with a wide range of stakeholders, including legislators, business representatives, and students, to ensure the budget reflected public needs.
He said the NC had received a clear mandate from the people of Jammu and Kashmir and would work to honour its commitments.
