Ballia, Jan 26: A Police Sub-Inspector has been suspended following allegations of accepting bribes during an investigation.
According to Police reports, a case was registered against Sub-Inspector Ramashankar Yadav under sections 7 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, based on a complaint filed by Station Officer Vansh Bahadur Singh at the Bansdih Road police station.
The Additional Superintendent of Police (North), who conducted the preliminary investigation, revealed that it was determined that the accused Sub-Inspector had improperly obtained 17,000 rupees and later returned 10,000 rupees.
