Jammu, Jan 25: A resident noticed the firearm lying near the riverside in Ambkhori village and immediately informed the police. Following the information, security forces rushed to the spot along with a police team and recovered the old AK rifle from the area.
It said the weapon has been taken into custody and further investigation has been initiated to ascertain how the rifle reached the riverbank and whether it has any links to past unlawful activities.
