JAMMU, Jan 15: The Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday appointed Praveen Kumar, a 1993-batch IPS officer of the West Bengal cadre, as the new Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF).
Praveen Kumar, who was serving as Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), had been holding additional charge of the BSF post for the past month.
As per details with Cross Town News , Praveen Kumar has been camping in Jammu and Kashmir , for high level meetings.
Home Secretary chaired one to one meetings of various organization on Wednesday, whereas joint meetings to take place.
