Srinagar, Dec 27: Rtd. Justice Hasnain Masoodi, MLA Pampore and Chairman of the House Committee on Jal Jeevan Mission, today conducted an on-spot inspection of the Water Supply Scheme Lethpora , Lathpora C and WSS Ratnipora.
The visit was aimed at reviewing the functioning, progress, and service delivery of the water supply schemes under JJM to ensure uninterrupted and safe drinking water to the residents.
During the inspection, Justice Masoodi assessed infrastructure status, water quality, supply timelines, and maintenance mechanisms. He interacted with officials of the Jal Shakti Department and local representatives, directing them to address bottlenecks promptly, strengthen monitoring, and ensure timely completion of pending works.
Emphasising accountability and quality, he reiterated the government’s commitment to achieving universal household tap connections and sustainable water supply.
Masoodi urged the department to remain responsive to public concerns and to adopt proactive measures for efficient implementation of JJM in the area, assuring that all genuine issues raised by residents will be taken up on priority.
