DC Ramban directs all officers to ensure timely implementation of instructions issued for redressal of genuine public issues

Ramban, December 21: As part of Good Governance Week–2025, the District Administration Ramban today intensified its flagship outreach campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” across the district to strengthen last-mile delivery of government services.

The initiative aims at improving service delivery, enhancing citizen engagement at the grassroots level, and promoting transparent, responsive, and citizen-centric governance by taking the administration directly to the doorsteps of the people, especially in rural and remote areas.

On the third day of the campaign, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, presided over a mega public outreach programme at Nowgam Panchayat, Block Banihal, which witnessed large participation from local residents despite continuous rainfall and cold wave conditions.

The Deputy Commissioner inspected stalls set up by various departments to facilitate on-the-spot service delivery and grievance redressal. Interacting with the public, he stated that the initiative has been designed to ensure easy access to government schemes and services at the grassroots level.

ACD Sheraz Ahmed, SDM Banihal Mohammad Naseeb Bajran, along with district and sectoral officers, participated in the programme. While listening to grievances raised by the locals, the Deputy Commissioner resolved most of the issues on the spot and assured that the remaining issues would be taken up with concerned authorities.

He also directed all officers to ensure timely implementation of instructions issued for redressal of genuine public issues. He advised people to proactively avail the benefits of various government welfare schemes and encouraged them to seek proper guidance from departmental stalls.

During the outreach camp, the public was sensitized about the importance of effective utilization of government schemes and services, with emphasis on transparency, accountability, and timely service delivery. Key schemes and services highlighted included Financial Inclusion initiatives, PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana, JK Samadhan, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Kisan Credit Card, Inheritance Mutation services, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, e-KYC (FCS & CA), DLC by Banks, PMAY (G & U), PMJAY–Sehat, and BOCA registration, along with awareness on public safety, child and women protection, and drug abuse prevention.
