J&K Govt issues Circular over Utilization of the Forward Auction module on GeM



JAMMU, Nov 29: Jammu and Kashmir Government issued Circular over Utilization of the Forward Auction module on GeM for the disposal of Immovable properties and unserviceable material, and leasing of available assets like shops, parking lots, etc.

The Circular copy with Cross Town News reads " Since the inception of GeM, several buyer organizations have been requesting for incorporation Forward e-Auction service on GeM for the disposal of immovable properties & unusable material in offices/production units.

Consequently, in October 2021 Forward e-Auction service was launched on GeM portal to offere-auction services to the Govt. entities.

Forward e-Auction is a web based platform that facilitates to maximize sale value. Besides, the disposal of immovable Properties, it also facilitates leasing of available assets like shops, parking lots, etc. Some Agencies under the Govt. of J&K have been successfully utilizing the Forward Auction functionality of GeM for more than two years. During this period more than 10000 auctions have been conducted covering more than 20000-line items.

However, as per the latest communication received from Gem, still there is a viable gap for utilizing e-Auction service for the disposal of immovable properties & unusable material in offices/production units. This issue has been examined in the finance department and need has been felt to reiterate instructions already circulated vide NO.FD- Code/393/2021-02-147 dated: 12-04-2022 on the subject matter.

Accordingly all the administrative Departments are once again advised to direct their subordinate offices for maximum utilization of FD-Code/536/2025-12-FINANCE DEPARTMENTI/569163/2025 the Forward Auction module on GeM for the disposal of Immovable properties and unserviceable material, and leasing of available assets like shops, parking lots, etc as already advised circular instructions issued vide NO.FD-Code/393/2021-02-147 dated: 12-04-2022 on the subject matter.
