New Delhi, Nov 27: The Madhya Pradesh government has initiated disciplinary action against Santosh Verma, a state services officer promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS: 2012: MP), for allegedly making highly objectionable comments targeting the Brahmin community.
The officer has been suspended by the MP government. Verma, who serves as the state president of the Anusuchit Jati Evam Janjati Adhikari Evam Karmachari Sangh (AJAKS), has been issued a show-cause notice by the state administration.
The notice specifically addresses a controversial statement he made during the AJAKS provincial convention.
During the convention, Verma reportedly made a comment linking the continuation of reservation policies to inter-caste relationships involving Brahmin women.
