Madhopur, Nov 05: A, DCP, posted with the Anti-Corruption Bureau in Sawai Madhopur, was caught taking a bribe of Rs 80,000 just an hour after giving a public speech against corruption on International Anti-Corruption Day.
In his speech, he had urged citizens to report corrupt officials by calling the ACB helpline 1064 but soon after, an ACB team from Jaipur caught him red-handed while accepting money from District Transport Officer.
According to ACB, Meena had responsibility for the ACB outpost in Sawai Madhopur and had been demanding monthly bribes from DTO.
The bureau had already been receiving complaints against him for two to three months before laying a trap.
DTO, who was giving the bribe, was also arrested as both giving and accepting bribes are punishable under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The case shocked the
