Vijayawada, Nov 05: The Central Administrative Tribunal has set aside the Andhra Pradesh government’s orders placing Vishal Gunni (IPS: 2010: AP) under suspension.
The tribunal directed to reinstate Gunni and issue posting orders forthwith, with all consequential benefits for which he is otherwise eligible.
Gunni was placed under suspension after a complaint was lodged by a Mumbai-based actress, who alleged harassment and of being implicated in a false case by the higher officials in Andhra Pradesh police, including Gunni.
Gunni was granted anticipatory bail by the high court and passed interim orders in the quash petition, staying all further proceedings in the case registered based on the complaint given by the actress.
Gunni later moved the CAT challenging his suspension.
