J&K High Court to take "coercive measures" against Addn Chief Secretary, if fails in compliance

Jammu, Nov 03: In CPSW No. 665/2018 CM No. 7843/2023 CM No. 296/2024 CM No. 6650/2025  titled Kamal Krishan Razdan vs Rohit Kansal, Pr. Secy to Govt. Planning Dev. And others  after hearing HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE JAVED IQBAL WANI, JUDGE ORDERED as under:-

1. Upon coming up of the instant contempt petition for consideration, in furtherance of order dated 27.10.2025, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Planning Development and Monitoring Department would candidly seek 15 days time to report compliance of the judgment, noncompliance of which has been complained off, in the instant contempt petition.

2. Though a perusal of the order passed by this Court on 27.10.2025 leaves less scope rather no scope, for grant of any further time to the respondents/contemnors for reporting compliance of the judgment, yet, in the interest of justice, two weeks further time and no more is granted to the respondents/contemnors for reporting compliance of the judgment, failing which, cohersive measures shall follow.

3. List along with ROBSW No. 8/2025 on 19.11.2025.
