Kozhikode, Oct 07: Two Doctors at Government District Hospital in Palakkad, Kerala, have been suspended by the Health department over allegations of medical negligence leading to a nine-year-old girl’s hand amputation.
The girl was initially treated at the hospital for a hand fracture on September 24, but her condition worsened, leading to amputation at Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode.
The incident sparked a controversy and the girl’s parents alleged medical negligence by the doctors at District Hospital but Doctors disclaim responsibility for girl’s hand amputation.
