KISHTWAR, 29-09-2025 The District Rent Assessment Committee, under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), today approved 25 rent assessment cases pertaining to various government departments.
The approved cases included offices functioning under Police, Army, FCS&CA, JKRLM, Education, Health, Cooperative, Handicrafts, and Fisheries departments. The Committee deliberated on fixation of rents for government offices housed in private structures across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner directed officers to ensure timely disbursement of rents to landowners and building owners, while also safeguarding government/rented properties.
He emphasized that payments must be made only after proper record verification.
Issuing strict directions, the DC further directed that owners of rented properties must remain present during the next Rent Assessment Committee meeting to avoid discrepancies.
The meeting was attended by ASP Kishtwar, Pardeep Singh; Dy. Registrar Cooperative/CEO MC Kishtwar, Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal; AD Handicrafts, Pardeep Shan; Dy. CEO Kishtwar, Masood Ahmed Qazi; and other senior officers and officials of concerned departments.
