Kupwara, Sept 24: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse today conducted an extensive tour of Lolab sub division of Kupwara district to take stock of the ongoing developmental projects in the area.
During the tour, DC visited KGBV Potushai. While inspecting the school infrastructure, he directed the R&B department to expedite the restoration work of bathrooms, kitchen blocks. He also inspected the classrooms and interacted with the students, got feedback about the functioning of the school.
Suse also visited Government Degree College (GDC) Sogam and JNV Potushai during which he took stock of the key infrastructural works going in these institutions. He stressed upon the executing agency to gear up construction work and ensure completion of the work within the given time frame.
He also took stock of the ongoing digitization work of the revenue department at GDC Sogam.
While inspecting the Water Supply scheme Wavoora, DC was informed that the scheme which stands completed under JJM, covers around 912 households of three villages of Wavoora, Surigam and Bunmaidanpora.
He also paid inspection of 10 MVA Receiving Station Sogam and enquired the status of the power supply scenario of subdivision and ongoing works under RDSS.
DC also paid a surprise visit to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sogam during which he inspected all the sections of the hospital including OPD, Dental, Radiology, Dialysis, Gynea, Labour Room, OT, Pharmacy, etc.
He inspected the under construction building of ICDS Block office at Sogam and directed the R&B department to ensure completion of the project in a fast track manner.
At the Auditorium of GDC Sogam, DC convened a meeting of all sub divisional level officers to take a detailed review of the progress achieved by different line departments under UT CAPEX, District CAPEX and different beneficiary oriented schemes.
