DC Ramban directs all executing agencies to complete developmental works in time bound manners

 RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 18: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today conducted a comprehensive review of the District Capex Budget 2025–26, financial inclusion, job-oriented initiatives, and other social sector schemes across the district.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, Assistant Commissioner Development Mohammad Ashfaq, Executive Engineers of PWD, Jal Shakti, JPDCL, Lead District Manager, district officers, and representatives of banks.

Reviewing the progress of 3,554 works, including 1,373 ongoing projects under District Capex Budget, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Rural Engineering Wing (REW) to expedite tendering and allotment processes to ensure timely execution.

He also intervened to resolve local bottlenecks hampering office progress.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed all executing agencies to complete works under the approved District Capex Budget of ₹47.64 crore within stipulated timelines, emphasizing equitable development of rural and urban areas.

He also took a sector-wise review of Health, Education, Urban Local Bodies, RDD and PWD Divisions of Ramban and Banihal. Progress under the Aspirational Block Development Programme and Tribal Plan was also discussed, with directions for early completion of sanctioned projects.

Executive Engineer JPDCL informed that the tendering process for all Capex Budget projects is underway.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the all executing agencies including PWD, RDD, JPDCL, Jal Shakti and REW to complete the developmental works of their respective departments in time bound manners.

He also reviewed restoration of roads and bridges damaged by recent heavy rains, flash floods, and cloudbursts.

In the financial inclusion review, the Deputy Commissioner directed bankers to achieve targets under APY, JJPY, Jan Dhan Yojana, and ASY schemes. Further, the Assistant Labour Commissioner was directed to intensify labour registration drives.

The District Social Welfare Officer was instructed to ensure coverage of all eligible beneficiaries under old age, widow, and disability pensions, marriage assistance, and other social security schemes.
