e-office. a significant step towards strengthening e-governance, transparency & accountability in Govt functioning: DC Kathua

KATHUA, Aug 30: Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation of the e-office system in the district.

DIP, NIC informed that 117 departments have been on-boarded across various units in the district. He further apprised that 27 Master Trainers have been trained to help departmental staff efficiently operate the e-office system.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of utilizing the expertise of Master Trainers to ensure the smooth functioning of the e-office platform, terming it a significant step towards strengthening e-governance, transparency, and accountability in Government functioning.

He asked the Heads of Departments to ensure that their offices and all subordinate units fully adopt the e-office platform and further called for taking all prerequisite steps to establish the e-governance initiative across every unit in the district.

The DC also directed the departments to initiate the process of digitalisation of their legacy data to align with the vision of creating a robust digital ecosystem in the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Vishavjeet Singh, Chief Planning Officer Kathua, Ranjit Thakur, ADIO Anurag Yadav and other concerned officials were present during the meeting.
