Srinagar, June 23: The government has accepted resignation of associate professor, surgical oncology department, Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr Altaf Gauhar Haji.
An order issued by the director SKIMS Dr AG Ahangar said Dr Haji’s resignation from the services of the institute has been accepted following approval by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who is chairperson of the SKIMS governing body.
Dr Haji, who was appointed in the surgical oncology department in 2011, had resigned alleging interference in working of the department.
Dr Haji is already in dock for reportedly forging documents to obtain passport. As per the complaint, Dr Altaf had provided a forged date of birth certificate to obtain his passport,
