CS Ladakh UT reviews implementation of Flagship Schemes and Priority Areas

 LEH, Aug 20: Chief Secretary, UT Ladakh, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, convened a meeting today to review the implementation of flagship schemes of the Government of India in the Union Territory, as well as the progress on priority areas.

Extensive deliberations were held on flagship schemes including Jal Jeevan Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin and Urban), PMSVANidhi, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban & Gramin), AMRUT 2.0, Samagra Shiksha, Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Aarogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, National Health Mission, Saksham Anganwadi & POSHAN 2.0, Smart Metering Rollout, PM Vishwakarma, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, and Swadesh Darshan/PRASHAD Scheme.Buy vitamins and supplements While reviewing the progress, Dr. Kotwal stressed the importance of ensuring that eligible beneficiaries derive maximum benefit from these schemes.

He directed officials to develop a robust review mechanism so that the targeted population receives the intended outcomes.

During discussions on the Jal Jeevan Mission, the Chief Secretary reviewed the number of villages with access to tap water connections and was briefed about the progress made across Ladakh. He directed officials to strengthen online monitoring systems to track implementation effectively.

The meeting also reviewed the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which has achieved 100% saturation in Leh, along with the status of Ayushman Bharat.

Waste management initiatives, including the establishment of a new waste processing plant in Kargil, were also discussed.

The Chief Secretary further reviewed the progress of deregulation and reduction of compliance burden measures across 23 priority areas, as well as the current status of the MIS portal.

Issues such as minimum road width requirements and building bylaws were deliberated, with directions issued to ensure timely updates and compliance.

The meeting was attended by Administrative Secretaries of Health & FW; Planning; Housing & UD/Tourism; PWD; School/Technical Education; PHE/I&FC; Rural Dev/Social & Tribal Welfare; Power/I&C/Animal & Sheep Husbandry & Fisheries; Agriculture/Horticulture; and Law. Deputy Commissioners/CEOs of LAHDC Leh and Kargil were also present.
