DC Budgam asks to ensure transparent, time-bound execution of approved projects

Budgam, August 11: A meeting of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme Committee was today convened under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat at DC Office, here.

The session was held to review and approve beneficiary applications across various activities and departments falling under the HADP initiative. During the meeting, a total of 1,309 applications were approved, aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, livestock development, and allied activities in the district.

The department-wise approvals were approved such as in Sheep Husbandry 393 applications, in Animal Husbandry 127 applications, in Agriculture 541 applications, in Sericulture 39 applications, in Fisheries 12 applications, in Horticulture 197 applications

DC emphasized that the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme(HADP) is a transformative initiative designed to uplift the farming community by integrating modern techniques, infrastructure support, and value-chain linkages.

He said that the aim of HADP is to ensure that every farmer and agri-entrepreneur has the tools, resources, and training they need to improve productivity and income.

DC urged all implementing departments to ensure transparent, time-bound execution of approved projects and to maintain close coordination with beneficiaries for effective monitoring.

He also stressed the need for regular follow-up to ensure that the support provided under HADP leads to tangible outcomes in terms of productivity, employment generation, and quality produce.

Bhat said district administration is committed to integrated rural development through targeted interventions in the agriculture and allied sectors, in line with the vision of sustainable and self-reliant farming communities in Budgam.

Besides, GM DIC, Budgam Zahid Ahmad, ACR, ACP, CAO, CAHO, CHO, DSHO, DSO, AMO, HPM, AD Fisheries, DR Co-operatives, DM NABARD, LDM, DFO, PC KVK, DH HPM, other concerned officials also participated in the meeting.
