Jammu, August 6: In a significant enforcement action, the Jammu Development Authority, in close coordination with the District Administration, successfully carried out an anti-encroachment drive at Khasra No. 1080, Ploura, measuring 23 Kanal 13 Marla of prime government land from unlawful occupation.
The land parcel, under the legal ownership and jurisdiction of JDA, had been illegally encroached upon by private individuals who falsely claimed proprietary rights.
Despite being formally directed on August 4, 2025, to cease all unauthorized activities, the encroachers proceeded to construct a boundary wall under the cover of odd hours, in blatant defiance of JDA’s instructions and prevailing laws.
Taking serious cognizance of the deliberate violation, VC JDA Sh. Rupesh Kumar(IAS) mobilized a well-coordinated enforcement operation with support from the District Administration and local police .
During the operation the illegal boundary wall was dismantled, and the entire land parcel was restored. to JDA;s possession without any law and order issues.
The drive is part of JDAs ongoing mission to safeguard public assets, prevent illegal encroachments and ensure planned urban development across the Jammu region.
The Authority reiterates its zero tolerance policy towards encroachments and cautions individuals or groups against any unlawful occupation or construction on govt land.
