Under new SSP Ramban , Police organizes three ‘BHAROSA’ Awareness Programmes" at various locations

Ramban, August 02, 2025:- Under the directions of *SSP Ramban, Shri Arun Gupta-JKPS,* three awareness programmes were today organized by Ramban Police at Ramban, Gool and Dharamkund, under the ongoing initiative *“Bharosa”,* aimed at empowering women and spreading awareness about their legal rights and available protections.

The program at Ramban was conducted at Government Higher Secondary School Ramban, by the lady PSI Manju Mandla and Lady PSI Anjali Khajuria, along with Lady Constable Darshana Devi of Police Station Ramban.

The program at Gool was held in the premises of Sub District Hospital Gool, which was conducted by Lady Constable Shazia Banoo and Lady Constable Nageena Banoo of Police Station Gool..... Similarly the program at Dharam Kund was held at NHPC Colony Dharamkund , which was conducted by the lady Constable Suraiya Banoo, along with Lady SPO Rano Devi of Police Station Dharamkund. During these programs the Lady Police Officers/Officials sensitized the participating women on critical issues such as domestic violence, sexual harassment, cybercrime and dowry related offences.

The sessions were focused on educating the participants about legal remedies, helplines, and the functioning of Women Help Desk at the Police Station.

During the programme, the Lady Police Officers, interacted with the women in an open engaging and confidence-building environment, encouraging them to speak up against any form of abuse and to understand their rights and responsibilities.

The “Bharosa” initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of Ramban Police towards building a safe, aware and empowered community for women.

Such programmes are being continuously organized across the District to instill confidence and a sense of security among women and girls, ensuring that they feel supported by the Police in every situation.
