3-day J&K Referee Kabaddi Course Level-1 inaugurated


Srinagar, July 29: The 3-day J&K Referee Kabaddi Course Level-1 was officially inaugurated today at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar. The course is being organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council.

Inaugural Ceremony Highlights: The event was graced by several esteemed dignitaries, including: Chief Guest: Mr. Sarmad Hafeez, Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare Department, and Administrative Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Mrs. Nuzhat Gull, Secretary, J&K Sports Council Mrs. Nusrat Gazala, Divisional Sports Officer (Kashmir) Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad, Manager, Bakshi Stadium During the ceremony, the Chief Guest extended his best wishes to all technical officials participating in the referee course.

He also urged Mrs. Nuzhat Gull to encourage all affiliated sports associations to organize similar referee development courses to raise the standard of officiating and overall game quality in Jammu and Kashmir. Other Dignitaries Present: Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, General Secretary, J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association & Technical Director, International Kabaddi Federation Mr. Rana Ranjeet Singh, International Kabaddi Referee from Bihar Ms. Dhana Shree, Approved Technical Referee from Maharashtra District Secretaries from Baramulla, Budgam, Srinagar, Kathua, and Jammu Approximately 90 technical officials from across Jammu and Kashmir are participating in this course, receiving expert training from renowned kabaddi professionals. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta for initiating this valuable training program and for arranging the presence of experienced international referees like Mr. Rana Ranjeet Singh and Ms. Dhana Shree.

This referee course is expected to significantly elevate the standard of officiating not only in J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association tournaments, but also in competitions organized by the Youth Services and Sports Department, private clubs, inter-district, divisional, UT-level SGFI events, A-Grade tournaments, and the All India Police Meet.
