DC Ramban constitutes Screening committee for teachers day awards

Ramban, July 23: In a move to recognise the contributions of teachers across various fields, the Deputy Commissioner of Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, has announced the constitution of a six-member Screening Committee to organise the Teachers’ Day Award Ceremony scheduled for September 5, 2025.

Deputy Commissioner have constituted a committee comprising six members who will examine and scrutinise the list of teachers to be awarded on Teachers’ Day.”

The teachers who have made outstanding contributions in academics, sports, culture, scientific innovation, social development, research, and other fields during the academic year 2024–25 will be considered for these awards,” Khan said.

He further said that clear criteria has been set to evaluate the nominations, ensuring that deserving educators across the district are acknowledged. Those who meet the established criteria will receive the ‘Best Teacher Award’ in their respective categories on Teachers’ Day.

Highlighting the importance of Teachers Day, DC Ramban said, “Teachers play a crucial role in shaping the future of our nation. Teachers’ Day provides us with an opportunity to recognise and appreciate their hard work, dedication, and the significant impact they have on students’ lives.”

This year’s awards are part of a broader initiative to continuously acknowledge the efforts of educators. In future also, we plan to organise more such programmes to ensure the commendable work of teachers is consistently identified and celebrated across the district,” Khan said.
