SAMBA, July 12: District Development Commissioner Samba, Rajesh Sharma, released a pocket-sized handbook titled ‘District at a Glance’, compiled by the District Statistics and Evaluation Office.
Present were Chief Planning Officer Kasturi Lal, DSEO Rupinder Kaur, ACR Ajay Bharti, Statistical Officer DSEO Office and other staff. The publication provides a summary of key socio-economic and demographic data for 2022-23 and 2023-24.
It is intended for use by planners, researchers and departments for development initiatives. The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the DSEO team and the cooperation of Government departments for their contribution in finalizing the publication.
But what about the issues where public is facing harassment in the hands of DCs by non complying SRO 456 of 2017, LGs ACs time bound Decision No 17/1/2022 dtd 29th Jan 2022 followed by ACs Decision dtd 25th July 2024 over the same issue, which is causing harassment to thousand of innocents & otherside causing loss to Govt to crores per month on Stamp Duty fee & other taxes.
