JAMMU: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu proudly inaugurated the CBSE Kho-Kho Cluster XVIII North Zone-II (NZ-II) – Boys & Girls Season 2 for Boys and Girls in a grand ceremony that echoed the spirit of sportsmanship and unity.
The event brought together 14 schools 23 participating teams and 255 students from North Zone-II, all geared up for an exciting series of matches. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, a tradition symbolizing the triumph of knowledge, energy, and positivity.
A soulful welcome song set a harmonious tone, followed by a heartfelt welcome address by Avneet Kaur Budhraja, Vice Principal, who extended warm greetings to all participants, coaches, and dignitaries.
The school was privileged to host Bhupinder Singh- Founder of J&K Kho Kho association & International Coach (Kabaddi and Kho kho) as the Chief Guest, who lauded the institution for its unwavering commitment to promoting discipline, teamwork, and athletic excellence among students.
Bhavna Singh Jamwal, Headmistress (Primary Wing), officially declared the tournament open, igniting excitement among the young athletes. The smooth conduct of matches was efficiently coordinated by Tarmeet Raina, Administrative Officer, in collaboration with the Sports Department, ensuring a seamless and spirited tournament.
Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson, emphasized the integral role of sports in holistic education and inspired students to pursue excellence with dedication and integrity.
