Crime Branch files chargesheet against two fraudsters for duping a man on pretext of securing a job in High Court

JAMMU, July 4: The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Jammu has filed a chargesheet against two fraudsters for allegedly duping a man on the pretext of securing him a job in the High Court.

A Crime Branch official said the chargesheet was filed before the Passenger Tax Court Jammu against Meharaj-ud-Din and Abdul Majid Khan, both residents of Pattan in district Baramulla.

According to him, the accused allegedly posed as High Court employees and issued a fake appointment letter claimed to be from the office of the Registrar General, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the case was registered on the complaint of a Pulwama resident, who was lured with the promise of a court job and handed a forged appointment order and identity card.

During investigation, it was found that the documents were fake and the accused had no links with the High Court.
