All J&K Plus Two Lecturers Association held farewell-cum- felicitation function

Srinagar, June 25: All J&K Plus Two Lecturers Association today held a grand and impressive farewell-cum- felicitation function in favour of Ms. Nusrat Bukhari, the out-going principal of GHSS Kothibagh Srinagar.

The occasion was graced by a galaxy of officers from school education department including Shri Syed Shabir Joint Director DSEK (Central), Ms. Riffat Irfan, Chief Education Srinagar, Ms. Anjum Raja, Dy. CEO Sringar, Principals of Hr. Secondary Schools and members of Central Executive Committee and district presidents of the association from Kashmir Division.

The function began with quranic recitation by Irshad Ahmad while the proceedings were conducted by Zaffar Mushtaq. The Welcome and keynote address was presented by Dr. Mir Nazim. The dignitaries were felicitated with bouquets presented by president Mansoor Ahmad Khan. On the occasion Joint Director Shri Syed Shabir and Dy. CEO Sringar Ms. Anjum Raja lauded the role of Mrs. Nusrat Bukhari as great teacher, school leader and educational administrator. Ms Anjum Raja while sharing the memorable moments with Ms Nusrat, described her as an epitome of modesty, humility, generosity with highest standard of professional integrity and school leadership qualities.

Shri Syed Shabir JD Central acknowledged and appreciated the contribution of Nusrat ji as good teacher, lecturer, Sr. Lecturer and Principal particularly in building HSS Kothi Bagh as hub of academic and co-scholastic activities. Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, he applauded the role of teachers and school leaders like Ms. Nusrat Bukhari in shaping the lives of thousands of students through teaching and mentoring. President Mansoor Ahmad Khan gave a detailed description of her role as school head and her contribution and advisory role in the association through all these years for the benefit and betterment of school education in the UT. Other Speakers including principals viz. Dr. Sameena Wani and Dr. Sajad Ahmad and lecturers praised Ms. Nusrat Bukhari for her immense contribution as teacher and school leader highlighting her role as lecturer/Sr. lecturer in different institutes including as Research Officer in erstwhile SIE Srinagar. The assembly wished a happy, healthy and peaceful post-retirement life.

In her thanks giving speech Mrs. Nusrat Bukhari expressed her sincere gratitude to the association cadre for this honourable occasion. She wished her best to all and vowed to continue sharing her experience and expertise for the betterment of the education of students in the UT. The vote of thanks was presented by Irfarn Mughal.
