Udhampur, June 23: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai said the district is fully ready for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra. She assured that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure a smooth and safe journey for the pilgrims travelling from Udhampur.
She further added that both security and logistical arrangements are in place & added that 26 lodgement centres have been identified in the district, with the capacity to accommodate 6,000 to 6,500 passengers.
She added that in case the national highway is closed due to any reason, we have made sufficient arrangements to house the yatris comfortably.
Saloni further added that the district administration has also ensured proper facilities for the pilgrims, including clean washrooms, bathing points, and drinking water stations. Additional sanitation workers have been deployed, and all facilities are being repaired and maintained to ensure a hygienic environment.
She said the aim is to give every pilgrim a safe and comfortable experience & we are fully geared up for the Amarnath Yatra and committed to ensuring a smooth and secure journey for the devotees.
