Jammu, June 13: In O.A./44/2025 (JAMMU) [ SELECTION ] With M.A./789/2025 titled DR RAHUL SHARMA AND ORS Vs HEALTH AND MEDICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT after hearing CAT ordered as under:-
Miscellaneous Application No. 790 of 2025 Miscellaneous Application has been filed by Mr. Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed seeking vacation / modification /alteration of interim directions dated 29.01.2025 whereby the process of promotion against all faculty positions in all the departments /disciplines of GMC, Jammu has been stayed.
Prayer for modifying the same so that the applicants be considered for promotion in their respective disciplines against the highger posts of Associate Professors /Professors in GMC, Jammu.
The interim order dated 29-01-2025 is modified by providing that the official respondents shall be at liberty to make promotions to the post of Associate Professors and Professors in Govt. Medical College jammu , however the official respondents shall not place / promote / appoint any Professor confirmed by D.P.C / P.S.C after 01.01.2016 as professor, to the post of principal govt medical College jammu or by lateral entry in any of the newly established govt medical College i.e. GMC Doda , GMC kathua , GMC udhampur , GMC Rajouri or any other newly established govt medical College.
With these directions, the M.A. stands disposed.
