POONCH, June 9: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today conducted an inspection of the ongoing blacktopping work on National Highway-144A Package 8 at Madana, a critical stretch on the Surankote to Poonch corridor.
During the visit, the DC assessed the quality of the blacktopping, progress of work and compliance with prescribed engineering and safety standards.
He interacted with site engineers and the executing agency, issuing clear directions to maintain construction quality and ensure timely completion of the project.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the up-gradation of the stretch is essential for improving road connectivity, ensuring commuter safety and enhancing overall travel efficiency in the region.
He directed all stakeholders to work efficiently to complete the project on time, minimizing inconvenience to the public.
He also assured that the administration will continue to monitor the project closely to maintain high standards and timely completion
