DHS emphasizes the need for proactive planning, accountability at all levels

JAMMU, May 31: Dr Abdul Hamid Zarger, Director Health Services Jammu, chairs a meeting to assess the preparedness and operational readiness of all health facilities across the Jammu Division.

The meeting was attended by key health officials, including Dr Poonam Sethi, Deputy Director (Schemes), Dr Sanjay Sharma, Deputy Director (Dentistry), Dr Ila Gupta, Assistant Director (Schemes), Dr Harjeet Rai, State Surveillance Officer, as well as the Controller Stores and Deputy Director Planning. Chief Medical Officers  and Medical Superintendents of all District and Associated Hospitals joined the session virtually.

The review focused on critical areas such as emergency preparedness and response mechanisms, stock and logistics management, and surveillance and reporting systems.

Addressing the participants, Dr Zarger emphasized the need for proactive planning, accountability at all levels, and swift coordination among healthcare institutions.

He underlined the importance of maintaining readiness to ensure efficient healthcare delivery and safeguard public health across the division.
