DC Rajouri directs to ensure timely submission of comments on CLU cases to avoid unnecessary delays

RAJOURI, May 29: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today directed enforcement departments to initiate strict legal action against the misuse of Change of Land Use (CLU) permissions.

 Chairing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of physical inspections in cases where CLU had been previously approved, to identify and prevent any misuse of permissions.

Enforcement agencies were instructed to report violations promptly for appropriate legal proceedings.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma also emphasized the strict implementation of the Ribbon Development Act. He instructed the Executive Engineers of PWD, PMGSY and officers from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) to thoroughly check for violations and take necessary legal action against defaulters.

Further, the Deputy Commissioner urged all departments to ensure the timely submission of comments on CLU cases to avoid unnecessary delays in processing genuine applications.

Reiterating the administration’s commitment to planned development, he highlighted the need to adhere strictly to land use norms and regulations to prevent unauthorized constructions in the district.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Rajouri Jahangir Khan, Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera and other district and sectoral officers.
