Amit Shah reviews security situation in J&K including upcoming annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath Ji

JAMMU, May 29: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today reviewed security situation in Jammu and Kashmir including upcoming annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath Ji.

He chaired a high-level security review meeting at RAJ BHAWAN, which was attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Army chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, DGP Nalin Prabhat and other top officials of MHA, Army, paramilitary forces, Jammu and Kashmir Police, civil administration and Intelligence agencies from Centre as well as the UT.

The Home Minister will visit the border district of Poonch tomorrow where he will address the Pakistan shelling-hit civilians, BSF soldiers at their Unit Headquarters at Khanetar, visit damaged religious places and distribute appointment letters among next of kin of those killed in the shelling.

Home Minister instructed to maintain utmost vigilance and ensure seamless completion of the sacred journey.

He said the Central Government and Jammu and Kashmir administration will leave no stone unturned to facilitate the pilgrims with all necessary facilities & directed to maintain utmost vigilance and ensure seamless completion of the sacred journey.
